Many folks are still putting computers in today's high tech environments like they are typewriters in yesterday's office.  This is a mistake that is corrected by factoring in the need for human wear in our hardware and software experience.

Since there are so many different types of computer environments, CompUrest's installation is a personal thing.

This keyboard stand can be used on your lap, on top of a desk with proper height considerations; mounted on rails underneath your desk for pull out and storage convenience, attached to a tray or small custom built table for reclining or special chair requirements, or used on your lap if you're a touch typist.

CompUrest can be used on your lap.

For best results,
CompUrest should be positioned so that:

Your hands, wrists and arms are relaxed, fully supported by your extended armrest

Your wrists are flat  and straight

Your elbows are maintained at a  right angle.   The armrest keeps your elbows at your side

Rest your arms and shoulders on the armrest when computing.

CompUrest has been comfortably used in many different ways over the years.

What is important is that the computing environment be configured to support the human, not that the human contort to the demands of the environment.

On The Desk

Some folks place CompUrest on top of their desk and adjust the chair higher than usual to secure the proper, sitting-upright fit. Some use a small pillow underneath (which we provide if needed) for additional product placement control and a footrest.

Under The Desk

CompUrest on rails can be installed or custom built in many ways, i.e. under your desk, on rollers that pull out. Some traditional keyboard arm extenders have also been adapted to accommodate a CompUrest.  Once extended, it is adjustable up and down and locks in place.

Lounge Tray

Lounge Tray is a stand to hold the CompUrest in place when computing in a reclined position such as a bed or a large, comfortable chair.

Your CompUrest can be built with "table legs on rollers" for even greater adjustable use and easier storage.  This support system can also be made into a small table too.

CompUble

On Legs

CompUble, a CompUrest with table legs, is a way to take your keyboard off your desk.  When used with a wireless keyboard, it allows you to be supported farther away from the monitor.
